Jill Duffy Designs will provide a written quote for all jobs and it becomes part of our written Agreement. The price we quote is the price you pay unless you decide to add additional pages, features or services to your website or graphic design project which were not listed in the original scope of work and quote. We NEVER charge for anything without discussing it with you first.

Jill Duffy Designs prides itself on providing excellent customer service. This is the spirit of both our Agreement and of Jill's business. Input from Client is encouraged during the development process with the express understanding that Jill Duffy Designs is being hired for its artistic judgment and design sensibility. Unlike other designers, you will be provided with an initial mock up and access to a Test Server where you can view the progression of your site. Absent specific Agreement, Jill Duffy Designs will provide you with one alternative design for contemplation.

The Legal “Fine Print”:

Jill Duffy Designs is a developer of ethical websites. We will not publish information over the Internet which may be used to cause harm. Neither will we develop a pornography or warez website for a Client. We will not publish information over the Internet that encourages or promotes intolerance or discrimination of or towards people or peoples of any race, color, sex, creed or religion. Nor will Developer design, promote or attach links to any site that advocates, encourages or practices the exploitation of any group or groups in society, including, and in particular, children, the elderly or the disadvantaged.

Copyright to the finished assembled work of website produced and designed by Jill Duffy Designs is owned by Jill Duffy Designs. Upon our receipt of full and final payment, the Client is assigned copyright to use as a website the design, graphics, and text contained in the finished assembled website. Jill Duffy Designs retains the right to display all designs as examples of its work in its portfolios (electronic or print) and the right to link to Client’s website. Client agrees that Jill Duffy Designs may place a small byline link on the bottom of Client’s website home page establishing credit.

The Financial:
Jill Duffy Designs will install/upload Client’s website to Web Search Engines after final payment in full is received. All payments will be made in US funds. Funds can be paid by check or money order to Jill Duffy for the amount specified in our Agreement. Developer will accept credit card payments via PayPal, Jill Duffy Designs will add an administrative surcharge of 3% of the total price each time the Client makes a transaction. Payment in full must be received according by the due date as invoiced or late fees may be assessed. In the event your account is not settled by the due date, Jill Duffy Designs reserves the right to assess a late payment fee of $10.00 or up to 10% of the unpaid balance, whichever is higher. Fees may continue until the account is paid in full, in the Alternative, Jill Duffy Designs reserves the right to remove web pages from view on the Internet until final payment is made. If a payment delay is anticipated, please contact Jill Duffy Designs immediately so that we may make another arrangement. If collection proves necessary, Client will pay all collection fees incurred by Jill Duffy Designs. Absent a long term maintenance contract, in the event a site becomes dormant for more than 12 months for inactivity, Developer reserves the right to impose additional costs for maintaining, reactivating and/or updating the site as needed to cover operating or other expenses.
